Snow day? S’no’ problem!

The snow caused disruption to quite a few of our clients, but our HNG team was quick to respond, and we couldn’t be prouder

Winter wreaks havoc for us all, and for everyone at Home Nursing Group, the past few weeks have been no exception. A number of our staff have needed some time off to rest and recover from illness, but the show must go on! For team members like Nadine and Petra, this meant taking on more work to fill in the gaps. Home Nursing Group is so grateful to have such lovely workers like them; they graciously went to the aid of our early morning clients to provide services, and each did so with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.

It wasn’t just cold weather putting a damper on things. For the first time in years, the New England region was blanketed in a layer of icy snow — beautiful to look at, not so fun to work with! The snow caused disruption to quite a few of our clients, but our HNG team was quick to respond, and we couldn’t be prouder:

Mrs P was unable to take her usual stroll to buy groceries, but was delighted when her Home Nursing Group worker arrived to drive her to the supermarket (after a quick stopover for a cheeky coffee at a nearby cafe).

Mr R couldn’t resist exploring his snow-covered garden, but took a little bit of a slip on the icy grass. His worker came quickly to his aid, and minutes later Mr R was happily and comfortably sitting by his fire, thankfully no worse for wear.

And Mrs W, who was worried for her dog in the snowy weather, couldn’t have been more grateful for the quick-thinking of her HNG worker; he resituated the kennel to a sheltered area and made sure Mrs W’s beloved companion had plenty of dry, warm blankets.

Our wonderful workers at Home Nursing Group will always be there for our clients, through snow or shine.
