Tocan

As we age it can sometimes become harder to maintain social connections and stay active within your community. Staying socially active and maintaining interpersonal relationships can help you maintain good physical and emotional health and cognitive function.

Tocan has recently come under the management of Home Nursing Group and is a social group for the older community based in Tamworth. It aims to provide older people with weekly activities to meet client’s social, physical and emotional needs.

Continuing to be social in your senior years has many benefits including an improved sense of belonging, decreased feeling of isolation, enhanced physical and emotional health, a boost for memory and cognitive functions.

Tocan meets twice a week meeting for luncheons, games of bocce and other monthly excursions.
