Home Nursing Group (HNG) is seeking experienced Assistants In Nursing to be based in the Port Macquarie and Wauchope area to provide in-home care to our clients. The role involves nursing assistance, personal care, social support, domestic duties and other tasks as directed. A caring nature and genuine desire to support our clients to live independently in the community is essential, as is weekend availability. HNG provides AINs with 24/7 on call support, training and career growth opportunities.

Applicants must hold a Certificate III in Aged, Community or Disability Services, a current police check, first aid certificate, driver’s license and have a registered and insured vehicle.

  1. Certificate III in Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent).
  2. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  3. Current First Aid certificate
  4. Current CPR certificate
  5. Experience or training in Manual Handling, use of hoist or other lifting equipment
  6. Demonstrated understanding of WHS and EEO principles as they relate to position.
  7. Current NSW Driver’s License with own registered and insured vehicle.
  8. Current National Police Check by an ACIC accredited body. The purpose of the Police check must be stated as, suitable to work in aged care or with vulnerable persons.
  9. A strong commitment to working with frail aged people and people with disabilities.
  10. Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
  11. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  12. Demonstrated effective communication and documentation skills.
  13. Ability to interact positively with clients from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
  14. Experience working in an aged care and/or community setting
  15. Ability for weekend and after-hours work, as required.
