Home Nursing Group is a locally owned and operated Commonwealth Approved Provider of community aged care services, supporting older people to live safe, healthy and happy lives in their homes.

Following recent significant growth in the business, there is now a need for Occupational Therapists to increase the scope of clinical care and assessment available to Home Nursing Group clients and form a key part of the clinical team.

We are looking for two Occupational Therapists to join our intake team in Port Macquarie/ Armidale/ Tamworth (negotiable).

The successful candidates will be committed to providing high quality occupational therapy services to Home Nursing Group clients.

This role will suit someone who has occupational therapy certification with community-based experience, who can work autonomously and has a passion for older people.   1. Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  2. Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A minimum of two years post-graduate experience, preferably in the area of Aged Care and community care setting.
  3. Two or more years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the field of physical disability, rehabilitation, aged care or community health.
  4. Ability to demonstrate up to date evidence based occupational therapy practice skills for the appropriate target population.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  6. Ability to meet statistics and targets for throughput in accordance with CHSP and HCP funding requirements.
  7. Demonstrated initiative, ability to prioritise and organize self independently and efficiently.
  8. Ability to work with other organisations either in a consulting capacity or joint assessment and treatment capacity.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  10. Excellent clinical documentation and reporting skills
  11. Knowledge of and participation in continuous quality improvement processes.
  12. Have a sound working knowledge of continuous quality improvement, risk management, EEO principles and WHS as they relate to the position.
  13. Current CPR certificate.
  14. Current NSW Driver’s License and own registered vehicle.
  15. Current National Police Check.
  16. Availability for after-hours clinical advice on an on-call roster basis.


  1. Ability for occasional weekend and after-hours work, as required.
