Responsible for the provision of clinical programs in the New England area, the position is based in the Armidale office and reports to the COO.

Provide high level coordination and management skills to ensure client referrals are assessed for the appropriate Home Nursing Group services including allocation of case coordination and monitoring of the client waitlist
Develop and implement systems to monitor the quality of client services, maintain accurate records, collect, collate and report data to meet deliverables for HNG reporting requirements
Management of staff to ensure service coordination and service delivery is met in a timely, professional and compassionate manner. Provide leadership and support to the clinical team
Promote a team approach by interacting and collaborating effectively with all members of the clinical team to contribute to the delivery of quality care for all clients
Work within the HNG management structure to ensure organisational goals and objectives are met and ensure line management responsibilities are carried out in a timely manner
Provide clinical supervision, support and advice for Assistants in Nursing (AINs) and other HNG staff as required
Utilise a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge to identify client and carer needs
Ensure planning and development of comprehensive care plans is implemented for clients with identified needs in collaboration with GPs and other stakeholders
Manage on-going training and development of the clinical team
Utilise communication strategies in order to provide appropriate communication to clients, carers, staff and other health care providers as necessary.
Provide clinical expertise as a member of the clinical on-call team for after hour’s advice on a roster basis.
Participate and assist in coordination of quality continuous improvement activities within the service delivery sphere and general office environment
Develop and maintain relationships and networks with other service providers to promote best practice health care for clients of HNG
Attend all mandatory training and participate in staff performance reviews
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures associated with programs within the portfolio
Be aware of and apply Home Nursing Groups Policy and Procedures relating to Continuous Improvement, Risk Management, Work Health Safety, Records Management and all other relevant policies and as they apply to this position.
Undertake other duties as required and relevant to the position.
Qualifications and selection criteria
Registered Nurse currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
Strong clinical, management and leadership skills
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with an ability to cope with competing demands
A demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills including both written and oral communication
Advanced skills and experience with a range of computer software packages and database applications, including the suite of Microsoft Programs
Lateral thinker with strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
Demonstrated ability to successfully undertake duties and achieve agreed objectives within a team environment as well as independently applying own initiative
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of EEO, WHS, risk management, quality assurance and records management requirements
Hold a NSW driver licence
Experience within the aged care sector dealing in a compassionate and efficient manner with clients and their families
