Equal Opportunities

Home Nursing Group is dedicated to providing professional opportunities and support for everybody we employ.

And that means not only offering choice and freedom for our clients, but also supplying a diverse range of opportunities for our 21 local communities across Northern NSW.

Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) refers to workplaces that are free from discrimination, harassment and inconsideration, and provide job opportunities that are open to any person, regardless of their gender, age, race, marital or parental status, sexual preference, disability, or religion.

Currently, HNG has over 90 passionate staff members hired and working in the field, and this team is consistently growing. Within a workforce that is ostensibly and traditionally female-orientated, 16 of our staff are men. And again, this number looks only to expand in the future.

Age is no barrier for our hard-working crew, with our youngest staff member being 20 years old, and our oldest 63 — and she’s been with HNG for over 13 years!

We employ staff from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with people coming from New Zealand, America, England, France, Germany, Scotland, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, the Philippines, India, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. And we of course have team members born here in Australia, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.

Our team encompasses LGBTI staff, single parents, people with different religious beliefs, people with different customs, and more.

Moreover, we encourage and support all of our staff to expand their knowledge, extend their training, and achieve greater goals. We offer employee assistance and counselling to all staff members, provide monthly upskilling opportunities, and engage in face-to-face training every quarter.

Plus, eight of our Assistant in Nursing (AIN) staff are training to become Registered Nurses (RNs) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (EENs), with our proud support.

So what does all this indicate? It means that Home Nursing Group is a workplace that improves productivity, increases efficiency, and encourages anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and common human courtesy for everyone — for our clients, for our staff, and for our local communities.
